A small nation that borders Indonesia, in the aptly named Timor Sea.


The Fataluku people of Timor-Leste have a rich and traditional culture that includes building sacred houses called Uma Lulik. These houses are built on stilts and repaired every 10 years and is a true family affair thats is filled with symbolism and deep tradition. The Uma Lulik house both families and their spiritual ancestors with very part being blessed and made from the jungle including the rope used to tie the bamboo and wood together.
