GREAT ANCIENT CITIES OF THE PAST
There are so many amazing cities in the World today including New York, London, Rome and Tokyo to name a few. But they all grew great because of the great cities of the past.

As history unfolds great cities come and go. One famous city that came and went is the famed city of Babylon. This impressive city sat in what is now Iraq and was written about for centuries after it was abandoned. It was said to be a beautiful city full of wonder and architecture that was beyond anything anyone had ever seen. It is not sure if they actually existed but look up 'The Hanging Gardens of Babylon' and the 'Tower of Babel' to see and read about these awe-inspiring landmarks.

One city that certainly did exist and still exists today is the ancient city of Cairo in Egypt. A city that dates back over 4,000 years it has been made famous by the Great pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Valley of the Kings, all things you should look up right away! The city and country of Egypt were controlled by Pharaohs, much like today's Kings and Queens. The most famous to us these days is Tutankhamun.

THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD
Taking 6 years to build and finally opening in 2010 the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE is the tallest building in the world! It stands at an eye watering 2,722 feet. Thats nearly 700 feet taller than the second tallest building, the Shanghai Tower in China (2,073ft).

The Burj Khalifa offers extraordinary views from the top as well as extraordinary places to live. It has over 160 floors and 57 elevators that take you up and down the giant structure that includes apartments, offices, 2 swimming pools and lots of shops!
